Monday
· Check-out time is 3:30pm.
· We’re working on the parable of the Sower and the Seed (Mark 4:1-8)
· Need to check in early or check out late? Please visit the help desk, where you can sign up for Extended Care the if you need it, space permitting.
· We’re working on the parable of the Mustard Seed (Matthew 13:31-32)
· In the morning Group B is tie-dying. Please send something to dye with your camper.
· In the afternoon we’ll all be working together in the community gardens at Peralta Hacienda Historical Park. Your camper should wear good walking tools and bring small garden tools if you have them for weeding. www.peraltahacienda.org 2465 34th Avenue (at the corner of Coolidge Ave and Hyde St)

Wednesday
· We’re working on the parable of the Vine and the Branches (John 15:1-8).
· It’s Crazy Hair day! We’ll be dying our hair and other wacky things to have fun by making our hair craaaazy! [All dyes are temporary.]
· In the morning Group A is tie-dying. Please send something to dye with your camper.
· We start our community garden project on Laguna Ave. today!
Thursday
· We’re working on the parable of Weed Pulling (Matthew 13:24-30)
· It’s Face-Paint Day! We’ll be doing face paint for those that want it. The paints are all quality ones which should not cause any skin problems and be easily removed.
· In the morning group C is tie-dying. Please send something to dye with your camper.
· We continue and hopefully finish our community garden project on today!
Gallery Night for parents & friends: 6:30-7:30pm at Fruitvale Presbyterian Church (2735 MacArthur). Come and see the artwork that your camper has created during the week at our official exhibition. Everyone is welcome. We’ll have finger foods too!
Friday
· We’re working on the parable of Good Fruit & Bad Fruit (Matthew 7:16-20)
· In the morning we’re working with the city of Oakland to beautify the Dimond District by removing litter. Afterwards we’ll head to Dimond Park for lunch, fun and games! Please send your camper with good walking shoes!
Throughout the week
· Each day your camper will bring home a Recreation VBS News with information including, questions you can use to spark discussion with your camper about the day’s experiences and important announcements.
